Does Conservative Talk Radio Accomplish Anything?

After months of listening to Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hanity, Neal Bortz, Michael Savage, and Glen Beck I have to ask, "is anybody listening," "does anybody believe their message," and "why haven't they made a difference"?

From the looks of things there is no need for the fairness doctrine...in all fairness to the conservatives, their message doesn't seem to be making a difference. The country seems to be leaning more to the 'left' all the time--at least among those that bother to vote.

I am so disheartened by the whole mess. I guess the old saying about people being cattle is really true. Most people don't take the time to research the issues for themselves, but rather take things at face value. And I thought the days of the snake-oil salesmen were a thing of the past. It's not just the down trodden looking for a hand-out from Uncle Sam--or Uncle Barack--it's upscale, middle-class, so-called educated individuals. Several in my neighborhood--a mid-to-upper class area--had Obama for President signs posted around their yards...IDIOTS in penny-loafers and Polo shirts!

Everyday, hour-after-hour, the conservative talk show hosts tried to drill home their message. And, for all intents and purposes, their message is pretty accurate and factual. Yet during the recent election the race was still neck-and-neck. Hell, if intelligent people were really listening to conservative talk radio the election should have been a landslide for the republicans. As it stands we now have one of the most liberal president-elects in the history of America and a congress placed back into the hands of the 'criminals' that have ran this great country into the ground over the last two years.

I am so disappointed with the lack of response to the facts these talk-masters have tried so diligently to put forth. I feel like telling them to just pack-up and go home, because not enough people are grasping the message. Maybe they should start spinning records...mind numbing cattle herding tunes for the masses...God knows there are plenty tree-hugging entertainer's from which to choose.

I suppose I'm really more disappointed in the people of this country rather than the on-air messengers trying to talk sense. Don't shot the messenger, right?

The people of this country will just have to learn the hard way. If you keep laying down with the cattle you're going to keep smelling like shit. Well it's totally the Dems problem now--Barak's recession and depression. It's fitting as the Dems are the party responsible for all the problems in the first place.

God help us to make it through four years and to come out on the other side with something left to salvage. We need a true conservative leader and party once again. Radio can not turn the republicans around and it can't seem to educate the masses either.
